Mark & Marissa’s Family Home

The home of Mark and Marissa was a special project for us. Teri Herrera was their realtor when they bought the home 25 years ago. After raising their children and having them grow up and move out, Mark and Marissa finally decided it was time to sell. So, they called up Teri once again for help with renovating in hopes of gaining a bigger return on their investment when putting it on the market again.

I think our master bathroom was the room that needed the most work, it was dated and it was functional. But not much more than that.

The house needed work to say the least. After 25 years of wear and tear, we decided that almost every space needed upgrading. We did a kitchen renovation and cut costs by refinishing existing cabinetry, did a complete remodel on bathrooms, replaced carpets, added hardwoods, light fixtures, and lastly gave it a fresh coat of paint. Every detail was important to give the home a new feel for the next family.

After

It was nice to see this house rejuvenated and kind of made me wish we had done something like this earlier. We had a lot of good memories in this house and we really wanted to make it the best that it could be

After completing their 3 month renovation, we listed their Sammamish home for $935,000. A week later, we received a whopping 28 offers! Mark and Marissa accepted an offer for $1,215,000,- making an incredible 200% on their design renovation ROI. This would not have been possible with the previous condition their home was in. They made a huge return on their design investment and we could not be happier to have worked with them once again.

That was actually the best move - was looking you (Teri) up 25 years later because we both felt like you did right by us the first time. We were just greatful because we needed that push again to make the next move.
